Ok..one more time...JDM headlight install?

Hey all....hopefully i'll get a response before tomorrow smile

how much work is it, and is it hard, to install JDM one piece lights on the 91 civic hatch. I have a WW front bumper currently, but it's basically just like the regular one as far as fit...I need EXACT specs on install...need to decide if it's worth hacking up the car for?

Well, my SiR headlights are a different shape to the ones that camo on our Civics. Likewise the bonnet shape around the lights and the filler panel below them. I know a lot of people have done the swap, but I've only ever seen them with the SiR bonnet anf filler panel in place as well.

Not much help I guess - but no-one else had posted smile

well...I got a mail from the guy selling the set...he says the hood (bonnet) smile

and fenders are different...too much hassle. i'll just put the cash toward the rear roof wing smile

You getting a jdm spoiler for the rear? if so i just ordered one from a guy i know, he says he gets them pretty frequently you want me to see if hes got anymore?

USDM fenders are fine, in fact if you want nice clear corners get OEM JDM ones

YES! if he has another let me know. I was looking at one that was 150.00 on EBAY, problem was he wanted 50 bucks to ship!!!!! that's too freekin much. let me know....

as for the lights...what is a "OEM JDM ones"?? I heard the USDM fenders needed mods?? ARGHHH!! smile

Im guessing but... the bumpers (fenders for the language impaired tongue

) will be fine, as will the guards. You will need a new bonnet (a guess - the lights really do seem to be a different shape) and the lower filler panel to go with it (again to suit the shape/size of the lights).

As the bumpers are below the filler panel - you shouldn't need to change it.

The corners are the same (clear) ones that we got on our Civics here - look to be the same size. I'm not 100% on this though.

Personally, I wonder if it's worth the effort as the polycarbonate SiR headlights dull and go a greenish colour with time - they have to be rubbed back every month or so to get them clear again. Moppie and I both have this problem with our SiRs.

If I was modding a GL (only 4G we got) then I'd be thinking some eyebrows or something like that at a tiny % of the cost and giving it a different look.
